Your data is used to book your tour. Nothing else.

1. What we collect

When you book: name, country, WhatsApp number or email, hotel or pickup address, number of people, date and time. When you pay online, payment is processed by a certified third party (payment gateway or PayPal); we never store your card details.

When you record a “letter to Colombia”: your name, country and the video you record. When you browse: anonymous technical data (pages viewed, device, language) through analytics cookies.

2. How we use it

To confirm and operate your booking, contact you on WhatsApp with tour details, issue invoices when requested, handle changes and cancellations, comply with National Tourism Registry obligations, and improve this site.

We only send promotional messages if you expressly opt in. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying “STOP” on WhatsApp.

3. Letters to Colombia and image rights

By recording and sending your letter you authorize Dear Colombia Tours to publish it on this site and on our social media, with your first name and country. You may ask us to remove it at any time by writing to hola@dearcolombiatours.com; we delete it within 10 business days.

4. Who we share it with

With the guides and drivers who operate your tour (name, pickup point and group size only); with the payment gateway when you pay online; with hosting and analytics providers that process data on our behalf; and with authorities when required by law. We never sell your data.

5. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies (language, currency) and analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can block them in your browser settings and booking will still work.

6. How long we keep it

Booking data is kept for 5 years for accounting and tax obligations. Letter videos, until you ask us to remove them. Analytics data, 26 months.

7. Your rights

You may access, update, correct and delete your data, revoke your authorization and file complaints with Colombia's Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC). To exercise them, write to hola@dearcolombiatours.com with your name and booking; we reply within 10 business days.

8. Security and changes

We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access for the booking team and providers with security certifications. If we change this policy, we publish the new version here with its update date.
